FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

From what age can children participate?

Our programmes are usually open to children from around 4–5 years old and above, depending on the activity and the child’s readiness. For younger children, a first introduction to the horses and the space can take place, always with the guidance and support of our team.

What should my child wear?

Comfortable clothes and closed shoes, preferably athletic shoes, are recommended. Helmets are provided by our space. If the child continues lessons regularly, they may also use their own equipment.

Does my child need previous experience with horses?

No. Most children who come to our space have no previous experience. Lessons begin with the basics and are adapted to each child’s level and pace.

Can parents watch the lesson?

Yes, parents may stay in the space and observe the activity from the designated visitor area, so that the children’s concentration during the lesson is not affected.

Is the activity safe?

Safety is a top priority for us. Activities take place with appropriate equipment, trained horses and continuous supervision by our team. Children wear protective helmets and specific procedures are followed to ensure their safe participation.

In which cases can therapeutic riding be helpful?

Therapeutic riding can support children who experience motor difficulties, developmental or learning difficulties, attention challenges or difficulties in social interaction. Participation is always considered on the basis of the child’s needs and after discussion with the family.

How long does a session last?

A session or lesson usually lasts between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on the programme and the child’s age. This time may include both riding and time spent getting to know and interact with the horse.

How can I register or get more information about the programmes?

Parents can contact us by phone or email to receive information about available programmes, lesson times and the participation process. We will be happy to welcome you to our space and discuss your child’s needs.

How does a child’s first introduction to the space take place?

The first visit is usually an introduction to the space, the horses and our team. The child has the opportunity to see the animals up close, become familiar with the environment and try a short introductory activity, if they feel comfortable.

How often do the lessons take place?

Lessons usually take place once a week, so that the child has consistency and time to adapt. In some cases, a different schedule can be arranged depending on individual needs.
